Stomp and sway to the soulful down-home grooves of country, blues, bluegrass, and rockabilly… an American feast of southern-style music dished out by the Bangalore Country Band. Members come from diverse backgrounds
douglas bell: guitar, vocals, mandolin, banjo, shamik dutta: guitar & vocals, allen rego: mouth-harp, guitar & vocals, dipti rao: vocals, sankarshan kini: fiddle, 12 string guitar & vocals.

Douglas Bell, a multi-instrumentalist and singer from Virginia USA has been performing professionally several styles of American roots music for twelve years. (mandolin/banjo/guitar/vocals)
Shamik Dutta is a Bengali-born singer and guitarist, with a soul-stirring tremolo voice, specializing in American and country folk music. (vocals/guitar)
Sankarshan Kini, the fiddler of the band has been immersed in music all his life. Having trained briefly in Carnatic violin, he plays the fiddle gypsy style. (fiddle, twelve string guitar, vocals)
Alan Rego, also known as the “Indian Cowboy”, is a country singer-multi-instrumentalist and has been performing professionally in Bangalore for over 25 years. (mouth-harp, guitar, vocals)
Dipti Rao is a Bangalore based young, aspiring vocalist, having trained in Hindustani Classical Music for several years.
