Saturday 19th Jan:8.00pm "Pub Crawl"

ART presents Darius Sunawalla and Arati Punwani in Gautam Raja's Pub Crawl

Directed by Arundhati Raja

Fast paced, hilarious dialogue from two "Yuppies" - telling it like it is!

Rs 500/- (350/- supper + 150/- theatre)

Synopsis : Written in 1999 this play caught the imagination of the young people of Bangalore. Pubs were blossoming all over the city; the IT boom had begun; the city was beginning to fill with the young and upwardly mobile; brands were suddenly important, relationships were beginning to bloom, fade, bloom... Set in a pub, this play is perhaps even more topical today, eight years down the line.

Press quotes:
In an appealingly blunt, no-frills tone, the play perceptively looks at the often directionless yuppy. Given the subject, the play [Pub Crawl] comes across as surprisingly unstilted and non-simplistic.' - The Times of India
'Hard-hitting stuff.... He takes a knife and cuts the cake of life. Day-to-day life. Depending on how you have understood the cuts, or how close to you he has cut, you react.' - Ponappa, The Ponappa Missive (The Bangalore Monthly)
