MARIA PETERZON – SINGER (Sweden)
The most important for her is to give a message in her singing, to live the lyrics. To give the audience the story of her life.
She studied at the Conservatory in Copenhagen for Etta Cameron. Now she is one of few teachers who teaches the same technique as Etta. Maria work as a song teacher in Malmo & Landskrona.

STEFAN PONTINEN – VIOLINIST (SWEDEN)
Stefan Pöntinen is a French & Swedish Governments scholarship grantee for special artistic activity. He is a well respected performer & composer of repute & has been with Orchestras in Scandinavia, Spain, & several European countries. In 1995 he founded the Ensemble Pöntinen & is member of SOS – Spirit of Sweden, whose artistic activity of art exhibitions & Concerts are well known in the country. He is also member of Galleri Rostrum in Malmo. He is the Winner of the TRIADE competition (Ahrenshoop, Germany) for his piece “Karma”.

Stefan has had vast & varied experience playing at the Malmo Theatre Orchestra & with reputed Orchestras in Scandinavia, Spain & other European countries. He has taught violin at the award winning Music School in Malmo, apart from workshops, courses & lectures. Other recordings & releases include ‘Protocol 8’, ‘Hanforelsens tid’, Oggi come Oggi’ among others.

He is a popular & well known performer who frequently plays together with his brother, the eminent Swedish pianist Roland Pöntinen, singers & in ensembles. He has performed with the great Cellist Svante Henryson who received rave responses at the Encounter 2004. He is an avid composer & his works are immensely popular in his homeland & other European countries. Stefan is on a mission to travel in India to imbibe its vast culture, interact with its people & make music.
