Kingfisher ABANDONFRIDAY with 'Supersonics' (Kolkata) at Opus (Palace Cross Road), Sept 4th, 9 pm onwards:
Ugly, dirty and ultra-talented, The Supersonics crashed the Calcutta music scene with a high voltage performance at a crowded little bar called Someplace Else. Formed in 2006, their defiant anthems have already earned them an anti-gravity cult status. Geared with a toothpaste fresh sound and a dangerous stage presence, it would be wrong to call The Supersonics a band. They are a milk-drinking, vitamin-popping call to arms. They are a shiny new revolution. Click here to check out their website.

Eristoff Saturday Night Fever with 'The Naina Kundu Project' (Mumbai) at Opus (Palace Cross Road), 5th Sept, 9 pm onwards:
Naina Kundu: A 22-year-old guitar-player and vocalist. Influenced deeply by the likes of Etta James, Dianne Reeves, Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell and Tuck Andress, her musical style revolves about the blues, soul and even elements of jazz. Intent to generate a sound on a melodic crux, the line-up is sparse-comprising vocals, guitar, bass, keys and light percussion.
Floyd Fernandes: Guitar player who plays bass in this trio. Has performed with the Louis Banks band, Joe Alvares and a few rock bands. He also leads an experimental fusion trio called Cap n Crunch playing jazz funk.
Jai Row Kavi: He studied in Musicians Institute (USA) and has played with bands like Tough on Tobacco, Helgas Fun castle, Pin Drop Violence and many other Indian Bands and artists.

Sunday Jampot 1 pm onwards, with Floyd Fernandes and friends. Floyd will also conduct a Guitar Workshop after the jam at Opus (Palace Cross Road)
